Towards a summer job! -recruitment event

Is your company or organisation hiring summer workers or trainees? If you said yes participate in the Towards a summer job –event and tell our students what kind of expertise you are looking for and what kind of open positions you have!

Date: Thursday, January 20th 2022, the virtual recruitment fair is open at 12-15pm.

Place: Virtual platform

For companies and organisation we offer:

• Visibility for you as an employer on our JobTeaser career portal and for your summer jobs and traineeship positions in the student marketing.
• A change to host a company presention and/or to meet our students during the event. The virtual platform will be the platform of your company’s preference, such as Teams or Zoom. There is room for 10 companies/organisations.
• Career Services takes care of student marketing, accepts student registrations, and assists in creating a virtual platform if needed.
• The University of Helsinki JobTeaser portal has over 8600 registered students. The students use the portal  actively especially during the summer job search.

The event is organised virtually in order to reach all of our students in our four campuses. The students are offered workshops and programme for recognising their skills and job search throughout the event. The similar Support for summer job search –event we organised last year was attended by over 300 students. The event is free of charge for employers.

We encourage internationalisation in Finland

This year we want to highlight career opportunities expecially for our international students. The students need summer job and traineeships opportunites in Finland while the companies equally need international expertise, which our university provides.

Not all duties and tasks require the knowledge of perfect Finnish – this is why a summer worker or a trainee is an excellent way for your company to try internationalisation! If you can’t participate in the event itself but wish to offer a traineeships or summer job for an international student, let us know – we gather these placement offers to our student marketing.

Sign up for the Towards a Summer Job –event on Friday, December 3rd at latest. We will include a maximum of 10 companies/organised to the event. On the registration form you can also let us know about a summer job or traineeship for an international student you want us to include in our student marketing.
